“When you set sail for Ithaca, wish for the road to be long, full of adventures and full of knowledge”.
– C.P. Cavafy, Greek poet, 1911

Up until this day, myths move the hearts of many people. Whether it’s the epics of old that are moulded into the medium of film, or the stories that originate from the news of the day, myths are everywhere around us, even now.

That is why they are subjected to reflection by the artists of the 32nd edition of Arts Festival Ithaka. By means of the most diverse art forms, from visual to audio, they encourage you to ask questions: what makes something a myth? What seperates “myths” from “truths”? And how do they shape our thinking?

LOKO would cordially like to invite you between February 27 and March 3 2024 to come reflect about these themes through the lens of our promising artists. On top of that all kinds of side activities will be organised throughout the week to enrich your experience even more, like a cultural conversation night and an improv night. In sum, enough possibilities to submerge yourself in the wonderful realm of myths. We await your arrival.
